The conference brought together specialists in health, culture, arts, science, education, gerontology, social policy and tourism.

Irish Chamber Orchestra and Irish Arts Set to Reach New Global Audience

October 2011: The Irish Chamber Orchestra’s Beethoven 7 concert, in front of 500 people at the University Concert Hall in Limerick on Thursday 20th October, is set to reach a global audience of more than 35 countries in HD via the web. 

Following the renewed calls at the Global Irish Economic Forum last week for Ireland to reach out to its Diaspora and a wider global audience, a new partnership between the Irish Chamber Orchestra and platformireland.ie will bring Irish culture and arts to an online audience of thousands.

This is the first time in the world that a live cultural event will be available on PC and smartphone with the help of Arts Council funding, marrying Ireland’s innovative use of state-of-the art digital technologies with it’s rich cultural and musical traditions.

Founder-director Jessica Fuller shortlisted for IIA Rookie of the Year at the Dot IE Net Visionary Awards 2011

 The Irish Internet Association is the professional body for those conducting business via the internet from Ireland. It has been and remains one of the driving forces behind the adoption of the medium. 

Fuller was nominated by public vote and shortlisted by the IIA,  Jessica Fuller stated that "this was an honour and acknowledgement of the imagination and innovative work by the team behind platformireland.ie. Thanks to all at Accreate, sponsors of the Rookie Table and to the IIA Team for keeping the spirit of innovation alive and kicking." 

The DOT IE Net Visionary Awards took place at the National Gallery of Ireland on 20th September 2011.
